Long Awaited Update

Journal Entry: Sun Oct 11, 2009, 11:08 AM

Super special awesome shout-out to :iconcaptstrife: for donating a 3 month subscription to me! I meant to do this way earlier but I got buried in schoolwork and such. He has an incredibly awesome art, some of which I've chosen to feature below, so CHECK THAT SHIT OUT!

Also another shout out to :iconspacecowboytv: for choosing my entry into his Artemis Contest as the winner!

As I'm sure you'll all be super excited to hear about, the second installment of my Harlequin comic is in the works. This time around, it should make a bit more sense because instead of starting in the middle of the story (more specifically the end of the first story arc) the comic is about Harlequin's origins, so no prior knowledge is necessary! Be on the lookout for art from that coming soon. I also have a side-project that I've created as a diversion from Harlequin and as a chance to broaden my artistic horizons, so also be on the lookout for GHOSTS FIGHTING GHOSTS.

In other news my super cool friend Adrian (:iconrunaroundfalldown:) currently has an entry in PatchTogether and NEEDS YOUR VOTES! For those who don't know, PatchTogether.com is a site much like Threadless.com or DesignByHumans.com in which all of the content is user created and submitted. The difference this time around is that they make professional quality vinyl toys and plushies instead of the usual T shirts. His design can be viewed here, and you should all vote on it!

Ho? So're you plannin' on doing something with comics/manga or what? Hya ha. I couldnt help but read the few comments you had lying around here.
:iconninjapyrate:
well i recently took a class on comic book making so i have a 12 page mini-comic completely made and printed under my belt, and next year i'm taking an independent study which is basically the same thing but with a longer product.

i also plan on working on it on my free time/over the summer, and i want to put out a decent-sized trade paperback book by the time i'm done with college.
:iconzeromatrious:
Gah! Then you should post up some new stuff! I haven't seen very much from you in a while, and it'd be nice to see some new creations. =B

And what about this Travis-Small person+company? Are you planning on submitting an idea to them?
:iconninjapyrate:
yea i probably should get on that haha i've just been pretty busy with finals/looking for a job lately.

as far as mr small goes i don't plan on submitting anything to his zine for a little while, until i have at least enough material to comfortably release it in monthly or however often installments.
:iconzeromatrious:
Hya ha. yeah, I'll definitly be on the lookout!

But if you were to submit to Mr. Small, would you be both the artist and the writer, and artist,or just the writer? Don't worry, Im going in to any "LOL WEORK WITH ME PLZ I HAZ GREAT STORY" =B

But I still might try my luck with 'em. Just to maybe even see if what I have is even near that level yet. Can't really hurt to try I suppose, can it? (I'd be going for just the story/writing aspect).
